Description
Mark Maguire is a jobbing Scouse comic… He spends his evenings on Stage bringing laughter into peoples lives, but off stage his life is a train wreck… He has gambling debts and owes money to a loan shark who is growing impatient and his partner and young daughter have left him and moved in with an estate agent, who is everything Mark isn’t, solid, reliable and dependable… Mark detests him…
Can Mark turn things round and get life back on track? Or is he destined to slide further down a very slippery slope…
A note from Bernie: 'STAND UP' was the very first piece I wrote 4 years ago... Much as I appreciated the hard work put in by everyone involved in the original production, It was not the play I had in my head when I wrote the piece and I've always wanted to revisit it.
So here it is... Reworked and Remodelled... Bigger, Better, Faster, Stronger ... and Funnier.
